IN SEARCH OF SPRING

Being a birder in southern Ontario, the acknowledgment of Spring isn't marked by a date on the calendar. I know spring has truly arrived when I see a red-winged blackbird.

We've heard there have been some sightings regarding their migration through Windsor and Toronto, so today, if my cold allows me too, we're going in search of spring.

What marks the return of spring for you?

Putting my winter coat away means spring to me.

I hope you're feeling better soon!

UPDATE: About an hour after I posted my blog this morning a red-winged blackbird landed in the backyard for some peanuts. I thought that was mighty thoughtful of him, to come to me, so I didn't have to drag my cold ridden self out in search of him. Spring came to me today!

He is a beautifull little chap.

Its bright and sunny here with spring bulbs everywhere but the wind is cold
