FOODIE FRIDAY - MOROCO

A must do when in Toronto!
The weekend got off to a great start tonight when I met a girlfriend for an early dinner at a great restaurant not far from my work. I hadn't been to MoRoCo for a while and really enjoyed it.

Both Jenn and I took a few pics with our cell phones, as I forgot my camera at home. We sat outside on the patio to enjoy the great weather so some of the pictures are shadowed.

This drink was called a "Hot Mess", which was how I felt after the work week.
I started with the Goat Cheese Salad.
I had the Truffled Mac & Cheese for my main, but forgot to take a pic of it. Luckily, Jenn had a pic of her order from a previous visit and emailed it to me!

Truffled Mac & Cheese
Dulce de Leche Caramel Cheesecake for dessert.
MoRoCo is famous for their Macarons
Bathroom Mirror.
This truly is a unique restaurant and worth a visit. Delicious food, funky atmosphere, gorgeous washrooms, and an on-site gourmet chocolate shop so you take goodies home. I look forward to my next visit!

FORTY PLUS YEARS OF FRIENDSHIP

Lunch with old friends.
I recently returned from a trip to Nova Scotia to visit family and friends. I haven't uploaded pictures to my Facebook account yet, but have looked at them many times. Of all the pictures taken on that trip, I am most grateful for the one above.

I grew up on Dixon Court, it was a short, dead end street. The four of us all grew up together there, along with our siblings. I have memories of the three women pictured with me as far back as my memories go. Counter clockwise; Me, Sherry, Cathy, and Heather.

We played hide and seek, Barbies, had sleep overs, laughed, squabbled, cried, and discovered boys together.

We all eventually left Dixon Court to start our own lives. All of us are married now, and Sherry and Cathy have children. I'm the only one living out of province, though Sherry lived in Ontario for a few years too.

I honestly don't remember the last time the four of us were in a room together, but I hope the next time I'm in Nova Scotia we can all get together again, for a longer visit.

So many memories......
