There are certain foods I anticipate with a watering mouth every year when I go home, as I only get to enjoy and indulge in them while there.
It may not look very appetizing, but a Damascus Donair is a must for me.
King Lam egg rolls are simply the best.
Murphy's deep fried whole clams....I usually have these twice!
Blueberry pie made with Nova Scotia blueberries.
A fried bologna sandwich with ketchup, a maritime tradition!
A fresh cooked lobster before.
After I'm done!
DROOL!
ReplyDeleteThat pie looks good!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of seafood ... kinda strange since I'm from the Maritimes.
And I've never been into fried bologna ("Newfie steak"). Bologna sandwiches are good ... just keep 'em away from the frying pan.
Looks like quite a feast!
Dang girl..I'll take the lobster. and the blueberry pie, that looks gooooooooood
ReplyDeleteHappy 4oth birthday, Angie!!
ReplyDeleteI love ALL those foods; haven't had a fried balogna & ketchup sandwich in years!! (You're making me hungry)
ReplyDeleteHappy 40th birthday, Angie!
Happy Birthday xxxx
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have been indulging in Maritime traditional food! When I lived in Toronto and would visit Halifax I would look forward to eating a thick sliced bologna sandwich.
ReplyDeleteHappy 40th birthday!
