RUNNING AWAY

Relaxing
Sometimes even as an adult you feel the need to "run away" and get away from it all. That craving became over-powering last Friday, and Rob and I did just that.

We had booked a long weekend off work, and decided to go away for the night after waking Friday morning. Later that afternoon we found ourselves checking-in to the beautiful Millcroft Inn. Going away during a pandemic was a little different, but they did everything they could to make their guests feel safe. Instead of dining in the dining room, meals were brought to your room, less guests on property, and other safety protocols. We felt quite safe.

We enjoyed a couple lovely walks around the property, a delicious dinner and breakfast in our room. It was lovely to hear nothing but the sound of the wind blowing through the leaves on the trees while lounging in Muskoka chairs. We enjoyed a walk under the stars and a roaring fire in the fireplace in our room that evening. It was just what we needed to recharge our batteries.

Please enjoy a few photos from our stay.

This fungi growing out of the tree reminded me of Star Wars.
By the waterfalls.
I enjoyed my first Martini in months!!!
Lots of wild flowers on our walk.
First Indigo Bunting sighting for me for the year.
We look forward to running away again in a couple months.
